Some of the most exciting new real estate developments in Los Cabos are taking place on the Pacific Coast north of Cabo San Lucas. There, amid rolling hills, towering sand dunes and crashing Pacific Ocean waves, several benchmark local developers are crafting a spectacular series of beachfront communities, pairing elegantly designed homes, villas and residences with upscale amenities like pampering spas and world-class golf courses.
Diamante, Quivira and Solmar Group are all in the process of building up communities along this breathtaking stretch of ruggedly beautiful coastline. The latter’s Rancho San Lucas is the most recent project, and features two gated communities as well as a Grand Solmar branded resort and an 18-hole golf layout from two-time major champion Greg Norman.
It was Diamante, however, who pioneered the Pacific Coast building craze. At present, this trailblazing 1500-acre master planned development boasts six distinctively designed gated communities, a quartet of golf courses from Tiger Woods Davis Love III, three boutique resorts (including one each from Nobu and Hard Rock), and even a 10-acre lagoon for swimming and sailing. Not to be outdone, Quivira has countered with its own larger 1,850-acre oasis, complete with luxurious 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom homes, a sprawling, 15,000 square foot culinary marketplace, and a cliffside masterpiece of a golf course from legendary player and designer Jack Nicklaus.
But even as this trio of remarkable developments continue to grow and prosper, much of the Pacific Coast real estate between Cabo San Lucas and Migriño, the next community to the north, remains relatively untapped, suggesting that more destination living opportunities along this magnificent coastline are coming soon.
